This Apocalypse, dir. Zac Trèmal (2018).

Truth stranger than fiction? Yes!—no excuse for this gauche effort, the amateur production values, characters cut and dried like their paper tigers, their birdsong principles and the straight line to foregone conclusions, brought to cohesion only to fulfil a narrative. Well done! Very good! Still, it lacks authenticity (think nuclear holocaust), and so I write this having woken up to no disaster but the gentle reminder, the slow grind of a perpetual autumn—and I’ve seen worse, to be sure, but I’ve seen better. ★★☆☆☆
